Arnold Gets Behind the Good Friday Appeal!
The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal has been confirmed as the official charity partner of the Arnold Sports Festival Australia 2018.
Arnold Schwarzenegger continues his worldwide fitness crusade to fight the battle against childhood obesity and help improve children’s health. Arnold says “I want to encourage kids to participate in activities that might lead to them taking up sport and terminate obesity in children. My fitness crusade is to encourage people of all ages to get off the couch and start exercising. It is so important for our youth to experience the benefits of regular exercise and playing sport”.
Anne Randall, Executive Director, Good Friday Appeal says “I am delighted that the Arnold Sports Festival has chosen the Good Friday Appeal as their official charity partner for 2018. The support of Arnold Schwarzenegger is invaluable and we share his commitment to improving children’s health around the world. It’s fantastic that all sectors of the community come together to give so generously so that The Royal Children’s Hospital continues to be a world leader in paediatric care.”
Tony Doherty, Arnold’s Australian partner and Arnold Sports Festival organiser says “Children are a cause close to Arnold’s heart. He loves coming to Melbourne each year. This is his 6th visit to Australia in as many years and we are so proud to be able to help raise funds from the Arnold Sports Festival for the Good Friday Appeal. “
The Good Friday Appeal is a not for profit charity that raises money to enable The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne to provide world class care for our children. The Appeal brings all sectors of the community together to raise funds every year culminating in a 15 hour telethon on Good Friday, and thanks to the support of the community has made the RCH a global leader in paediatrics.
